Job Overview:
The Vocational Training Instructor for Clothing Technology (TVET) will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of vocational training programs aimed at enhancing the skills and employability of Palestine refugees. The instructor will be responsible for developing learning programs and curricula, conducting occupational and competency analyses, and integrating new technologies into the training process. The position requires the instructor to facilitate both school-based and work-based learning, ensuring that training venues are properly set up and that inclusive training plans are prepared. The instructor will also be tasked with preparing assessments, maintaining linkages with employers, and applying quality assurance measures throughout the training cycle. Additionally, the instructor will support initiatives related to greening and digitalization in vocational training, collaborating with other staff members to create a respectful and organized learning environment. This role is essential for fostering the development of core skills and ensuring that trainees are equipped with the necessary competencies to succeed in the labor market.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including conducting occupational and competency analyses, drafting program profiles, and integrating emerging technologies into the subject specializations.
• Facilitate the delivery of school-based and work-based learning programs, including setting up training venues, preparing inclusive training plans, and monitoring learning in various environments.
• Prepare student assessments, including formative and summative assessments, and develop inclusive skills assessment implementation plans.
• Maintain linkages with employers and TVET instructors, utilizing labor market information to inform training courses and conducting skills needs assessments.
• Apply quality assurance tools and processes across the training cycle according to UNRWA's TVET Quality Assurance Framework.
• Support greening and digitalization initiatives, integrating these skills into training courses and facilitating synchronous and asynchronous training sessions.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to maintain a respectful environment, implement co-curricular activities, and uphold Occupational Health and Safety measures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior TVET Instructor or Deputy Principal of the Training Centre.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have successfully completed full Secondary Education and possess two years of post-secondary technical education or training from an accredited institution in Feminist arts or a related field. Additional Notes:
This is a Daily Paid Assignment for up to three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The position is classified at Grade 09, with a daily rate of $25.63, which may be subject to a reduced work schedule. Additional benefits include one day of annual leave and one day of sick leave for each completed month of service. The vacancy is open to both internal and external candidates, but only those residing in Syria and authorized to work in the duty station at the time of application are eligible. UNRWA will not facilitate work permits, and candidates must have valid authorization to work in Syria. Preference will be given to registered Palestine refugees and candidates from underrepresented genders to promote gender parity within the agency.
