Job Overview:
The position involves a systematic mapping, consolidation, and organization of relevant data, stakeholders, services, initiatives, and geographic locations within a selected thematic area. The Online Volunteers will play a crucial role in identifying existing resources, coverage gaps, priority populations, partnerships, and opportunities for improved coordination. The mapping exercise will utilize available datasets, reports, public sources, and information from relevant stakeholders to create a comprehensive data map. This map will support evidence-based planning, design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, advocacy, resource mobilization, and monitoring of interventions. The goal is to enhance the organization's understanding of service concentrations, underserved communities, and areas needing additional support or collaboration. The contributions of the Online Volunteers will ultimately support progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals by improving the availability and use of disaggregated, location-based information, promoting inclusive access to services, and enabling targeted interventions for vulnerable and marginalized populations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, experience in data mapping and analysis, and familiarity with geospatial data. They should be able to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting, demonstrating effective communication skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies is essential, along with a solid understanding of the thematic area being mapped. Candidates should also have a commitment to the organization's mission and values, particularly in relation to empowering marginalized communities and promoting sustainable development.
Educational Background:
A background in social sciences, data science, geography, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have relevant academic qualifications that demonstrate their ability to engage in data analysis and mapping tasks effectively. Advanced degrees may be advantageous but are not strictly required if the candidate has substantial relevant experience.
Experience:
Candidates should have prior experience in data mapping, analysis, or related fields. Experience working with geospatial data and tools is highly desirable. Familiarity with the challenges faced by marginalized communities and an understanding of sustainable development goals will be beneficial. Previous volunteer or project experience in similar roles will also be considered an asset.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all communications and documentation will be conducted in this language. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the communities being served may be considered a plus, enhancing the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and populations.

- Develop or identify a methodology and tool for data analysis, preparation, and mapping based on the defined objectives.

- Map data using the established mapping tool to visualize and analyze the information effectively.
- Collaborate with the Programme Coordinator and other team members to ensure the mapping process aligns with organizational goals and standards.
