Job Overview:
The Supply Chain Coordinator is a pivotal role within the IRC, essential for the successful delivery of quality programs. This position encompasses all systems and functions necessary for effective program implementation, including planning, procurement, inventory management, construction, property and asset management, as well as vehicle and fleet management. The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for the design, planning, execution, and monitoring of supply chain activities at the country level. This role requires collaboration with various departments, including Programs and Finance, to ensure integrated operational systems. The Coordinator will also work closely with field office staff to ensure uniformity in supply chain structure and adherence to IRC's standard operating policies and procedures. Additionally, the position involves implementing training programs to equip supply chain staff with the necessary knowledge and skills for their roles.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Coordinator is an integral member of the country management team, reporting directly to the Senior Field Management Coordinator. Key responsibilities include managing procurement, inventory, and construction management. The Coordinator is tasked with planning supply chain activities, coordinating with stakeholders to develop comprehensive supply chain plans that support program implementation. This includes preparing annual procurement plans, ensuring compliance with IRC and donor policies, leading market surveys, and managing procurement contracts. The Coordinator is also responsible for inventory management, ensuring effective handling of inventory, and implementing IRC inventory policies. Additionally, the role involves overseeing asset management, logistics and fleet management, compliance and ethics, and staff management and development. The Coordinator will also work on pharmaceutical supply chain management and construction management, ensuring that all processes adhere to IRC policies and standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Supply Chain Coordinator position must possess a Master’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics or a relevant field. Advanced professional certification in supply chain management and/or emergency response management is strongly preferred. The role requires a minimum of 8 years of progressive supply chain professional experience, with at least 3 years in a similar level of responsibility. Experience in an ERP environment and data analysis is essential, along with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement supply chain policies and standard operating procedures. Candidates should also have clear training and mentoring abilities and experience working with a diverse portfolio of donors, along with knowledge of specific donor guidelines.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Supply Chain Coordinator position includes a Master’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics or a related field. Candidates with advanced professional certifications in supply chain management and emergency response management are highly regarded. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of supply chain operations and management within the context of humanitarian assistance.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 8 years of progressive supply chain professional experience, with at least 3 years at a similar level of responsibility. Candidates should have experience working in an ERP environment and possess strong data analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and roll-out supply chain policies and standard operating procedures is essential, as well as experience working with a diverse portfolio of donors and knowledge of specific donor guidelines. Leadership and management experience, particularly in a complex or emergency response environment, is also required.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly in regions where IRC operates, as it can enhance communication with local stakeholders and communities.
