Job Overview:
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the administrative processes and procedures of the Program Unit or the programs department at Headquarters, adhering to corporate and legal norms and procedures to ensure compliance with the budget, strategy, and indicators through projects, as well as internal rules and policies. The role involves managing both programmable and non-programmable sponsorship communications, ensuring the production calendar of the SCUs (Child or sponsored child profile updates and family) is met in coordination with community links/volunteers. The position also requires training volunteers, leaders, and community links on sponsorship policies, procedures, child safeguarding standards, gender, and other topics according to the annual volunteer strengthening plan of the Program Unit. Additionally, the role includes conducting community assemblies for accountability and strengthening families regarding sponsorship processes, motivating family participation in Plan projects, and ensuring the quality and timely production of sponsorship documents as a strategy for sponsor retention.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage programmable and non-programmable sponsorship communications, ensuring compliance with the production calendar of SCUs in coordination with community links/volunteers.
• Train volunteers, leaders, and community links on sponsorship policies, procedures, child safeguarding standards, gender, and other relevant topics.
• Conduct community assemblies for accountability and strengthen families regarding sponsorship processes, encouraging family participation in Plan projects.
• Ensure the quality and timely production of sponsorship documents, adhering to Plan's commitments as a strategy for sponsor retention.
• Report and visit cases of sponsored children who do not attend school or have health issues, documenting reports in Plan's registration systems and following up with families.
• Support visits to families and communities by Sponsor Parents and donors, coordinating visits to all sponsored children at least once a year with volunteer support.
• Coordinate with the lead facilitator visits to children, adolescents, and families for cases that do not wish to continue participating in sponsorship.
• Support required programmatic actions, such as scholarship projects, special services, and appreciation gifts.
• Report concerns or incidents of child protection to the focal point of Protection of the UP and/or CO.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in community organization and development and sponsorship processes.
• Community experience working with children, youth, and families.
• Basic knowledge of planning, implementing, and evaluating social development programs and projects.
• Knowledge of human rights, with a focus on children's rights.
• Proficiency in basic computer packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, internet).
• Essential ability to drive a 4x4 mechanical vehicle and possess a valid license.
• Skills in organizing groups and using interactive techniques and tools that promote the participation of sponsored families.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to generate quality reports.
• Empathy towards gender equality, multiculturalism, child safeguarding, and rights-based approaches. 1
• Social and human sensitivity and respect for diversity (cultural, ethnic, gender, etc.).

Educational Background:
A minimum of 2 years of studies in Social Sciences, Sociology, Economics, Education, or another relevant field for the position.

Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in community organization and development and sponsorship processes is required. Experience working with children, youth, and families is also essential.

Languages:
Spanish is mandatory, and knowledge of Portuguese or English would be advantageous.
