Job Overview:
The National Consultant for Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist position is designed to enhance the communication strategies and knowledge management practices within UNDP Indonesia. The consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing communication plans that effectively convey UNDP's initiatives and successes to various stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of communication principles, as well as the ability to manage knowledge resources effectively. The consultant will work closely with UNDP teams to ensure that knowledge is captured, shared, and utilized to improve project outcomes and stakeholder engagement. The assignment is expected to last for 90 working days over a period of 6 months, during which the consultant will engage in various activities aimed at strengthening UNDP's communication and knowledge management frameworks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the National Consultant for Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist include but are not limited to:

• Developing comprehensive communication strategies that align with UNDP's goals and objectives.
• Creating and managing content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and reports.
• Collaborating with project teams to gather and disseminate knowledge and best practices.
• Organizing workshops and training sessions to enhance the capacity of UNDP staff in communication and knowledge management.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of communication initiatives and making recommendations for improvement.
• Engaging with stakeholders to promote UNDP's work and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ensuring that all communication materials adhere to UNDP branding and messaging guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in communications, public relations, or a related field. A proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies is essential. Familiarity with knowledge management practices and tools is also required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are crucial. Additionally, candidates should have experience working with international organizations or in a development context, which will be an advantage.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, international relations, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may enhance the candidate's competitiveness for the position.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience in communications, knowledge management, or a related field. Experience working with UN agencies or other international organizations is highly desirable. The consultant should have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the context of UNDP's work in Indonesia.

Additional Notes:
This position is classified as an individual contractor role, and the contract duration is for 90 working days within a 6-month period. The consultant will work remotely, allowing for flexibility in location. The position is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
