Job Overview:
The position of Procurement Advisory is aimed at establishing a roster of qualified national individual consultants who can provide procurement advisory services to UNDP in Lebanon. The role involves supporting the procurement process, ensuring compliance with UNDP procurement policies and procedures, and providing expert advice on procurement strategies. The consultants will be expected to assist in the preparation of procurement documents, conduct market research, and provide recommendations for supplier selection. This position is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement operations within UNDP, ensuring that resources are utilized optimally to achieve development goals.

Educational Background:
Candidates for the Procurement Advisory position are expected to have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, supply chain management, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is highly desirable and may be considered an advantage.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement advisory roles, preferably within international organizations or development agencies. Experience working in Lebanon or the Middle East region is an asset, as it provides valuable context for understanding local procurement practices and challenges.
Languages:
Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory for this position, as effective communication with local stakeholders and international partners is essential. Knowledge of French or other languages is considered a plus and may enhance the candidate's profile.
Additional Notes:
This position is offered as an individual contractor role, which may involve a flexible work schedule. The contract duration will be determined based on project needs and consultant availability. The position is open to national consultants only, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
