Job Overview:
The position of Consultant(e) Junior en Coordination de Projet is integral to the Women in Value Chain Initiative (WIN) project, which aims to alleviate material constraints limiting productivity and income for rural women involved in agricultural value chains. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring technical, operational, and communication coordination of the WIN project, which targets three women-led cooperatives in the Tiassalé area, impacting approximately 60 women. The consultant's role includes ensuring coherence in activities, effective inclusion of beneficiaries, quality technical documentation for equipment acquisition, and timely production of monitoring and reporting deliverables. The overarching goal is to facilitate economic empowerment for rural women through sustainable access to appropriate processing equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will have specific objectives including: preparing initiation reports, detailed work plans, result frameworks, stakeholder mapping, risk registers, monitoring tools, and communication plans. They will support the identification, evaluation, selection, and transparent engagement of three women-led beneficiary cooperatives. The consultant will conduct concise needs assessments and prepare technical specifications and documentation for equipment acquisition, providing technical support for bid evaluations and equipment handover without engaging in procurement or payment functions. Coordination with AWF Equip and relevant training partners will be necessary to align capacity-building activities with equipment deployment and usage. Regular monitoring, data collection, field visits, risk identification, and corrective action proposals will be part of the responsibilities, along with managing project communication and visibility activities according to approved guidelines, and timely preparation of monthly reports, mid-session notes, equipment transfer documentation, and final reports.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree at the undergraduate level (Bachelor's or equivalent) in agronomy, rural development, project management, agricultural economics, social sciences, gender studies, or a related field. An advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a relevant area is an asset. Certification in project supervision, project management, or a related field is also advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of gender-sensitive rural development and economic empowerment of women, as well as experience in project planning, coordination, and monitoring.

Educational Background:
A university degree at the undergraduate level (Bachelor's or equivalent) in agronomy, rural development, project management, agricultural economics, social sciences, gender studies, or a related field is required. An advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in a relevant area is considered an asset. Certification in project supervision or management is also beneficial.

Experience:
The consultant must have at least four years of professional experience in strategic planning and/or organizing workshops, conferences, or webinars related to economic and social development for candidates with a Bachelor's degree, or at least two years for those with a Master's degree. Proven experience in agriculture, agro-processing, agricultural value chains, women's entrepreneurship, economic empowerment of women, or rural development is required. Experience in activity planning, action monitoring, data collection, report writing, workshop organization, or field mission support is essential. Practical experience in needs assessment, technical specification development, service delivery monitoring, or equipment reception is a plus. Knowledge of gender equality issues, social inclusion, and the Ivorian context is necessary, with experience in rural areas of the Southwest or West of Ivory Coast being advantageous.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory. Knowledge of English or another UN language is considered an asset but is not required.

Additional Notes:
This is a home-based consultancy position in Ivory Coast. The consultant will participate in virtual or in-person coordination meetings with UN Women and AWLN Côte d'Ivoire as needed. For missions within the country, UN Women will cover living expenses. The contract includes all costs, and the consultant is responsible for obtaining medical insurance for the duration of the contract, which should include international coverage if international assignments are anticipated. Proof of medical coverage must be provided within the first month of the contract.
