Job Overview:
The Field Coordinator position is a critical role within Action contre la Faim, reporting directly to the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director. The primary responsibilities include contributing to the development of the country strategy and design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, coordinating field operations, and implementing integrated programs. The Field Coordinator will also focus on strengthening local partnerships, enhancing community engagement, and promoting localization efforts at the field level. Additionally, the role involves managing the field team with technical support from the Heads of Departments, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration with the coordination team, and maintaining security and access protocols. This position is essential for ensuring that ACF's mission is effectively carried out in the field, addressing the needs of vulnerable populations and ensuring the successful implementation of humanitarian programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of the country strategy and program design in alignment with ACF's mission and objectives.
  • Coordinate field operations to ensure the effective implementation of integrated programs.
  • Strengthen local partnerships and enhance community engagement to foster localization efforts.
  • Manage the field team, providing technical support and guidance to ensure high-quality program delivery.
  • Facilitate effective coordination and collaboration with the coordination team to align efforts and share information.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and access management to safeguard staff and beneficiaries.
  • Monitor and evaluate program implementation, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Represent ACF in external meetings and forums to advocate for the needs of affected populations.
  • Prepare and manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure program sustainability. 1

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a degree in a relevant field such as Humanitarian Action, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within humanitarian and/or development organizations is required, particularly in similar contexts. Candidates should possess strong managerial competencies, including strategic planning, operational management, budget and resource management, and security and access management. Excellent communication, coordination, and facilitation skills are essential, along with negotiation skills and the ability to lead and develop teams effectively. Educational Background:

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within humanitarian and/or development organizations. Candidates should have a proven track record in project management and experience working in similar contexts, demonstrating the ability to navigate the challenges of humanitarian operations effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with international stakeholders. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Afghanistan would be advantageous and is considered a plus, as it can enhance communication with local communities and partners.

Additional Notes:
The position is available for both national and international applications. For national applicants, the contract duration is 6 months, adhering to ACF's internal and national salary conditions in Afghanistan. For international applicants, a fixed-term contract under French legislation is offered, also for 6 months. The monthly gross salary ranges from 2597 to 2968 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th month payment. Additional benefits include reimbursement of pension insurance for non-French citizens at 16% of the gross monthly salary, an annual salary increase of 6% after each 12 months of continuous contract, and a monthly per diem and living allowance of 682 euros net. A country allowance of 450 euros and a cold allowance for winter equipment purchases are also provided. Child allowance is available at 1500 euros per year per child present in the country of origin, with a maximum of 6000 euros per year. Transportation and accommodation costs are covered, and ACF provides 100% medical coverage for health and repatriation insurance, including up to one month after the end of the contract. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year, 20 rest and recuperation (RnR) days, and airfare reimbursement for RnR travel. ACF also offers support for career development and free access to an e-learning platform.
