Job Overview: The position of Asistente de Programas – Gestión de datos at WFP involves providing technical support in managing information related to various programmatic actions, including emergency projects, livelihoods, school feeding, nutrition, and social protection. The role is crucial for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of WFP's interventions in Colombia, particularly in vulnerable populations affected by violence, marginalization, and ethnic diversity. The incumbent will work under minimal supervision, ensuring organized and precise execution of specific technical support activities for project implementation. This position is vital for enhancing the capacity of local authorities to implement responsible programs that contribute to reducing food insecurity and malnutrition, ultimately helping communities recover and adapt to climate change.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support in planning and monitoring technical and financial activities of cooperating partners responsible for implementing WFP projects.
Offer technical assistance in processing and managing beneficiary information, as well as in technical and financial monitoring of various programmatic activities to contribute to the effective and timely management of resources.
Ensure quality management of beneficiary data required for assistance, adhering to WFP's standard procedures.
Compile information that serves as a basis for preparing necessary reports.
Monitor the management of beneficiary requests through the SUGAR tool and alerts on the designated platform.
Respond to inquiries regarding information management and escalate issues as necessary to support timely activity management.
Identify discrepancies in data and communicate them to the relevant parties.
Assist in developing tools that improve project planning and monitoring.
Provide review and correction services for standard documents to contribute to the documentation of actions. 1
Support the ongoing update of information in established systems to ensure accuracy and availability for relevant functions. 1
Ensure data integrity to facilitate the availability of accurate information in institutional systems. 1
Collaborate with a diverse range of individuals to gather information as needed to assist in providing operational support to staff. 1

Required Qualifications: Education: Completion of secondary education is required. A professional degree in economics, engineering, data science, or related fields is desirable. Specific Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of experience in managing project/program information is required. Experience working in humanitarian assistance and/or development projects is preferred. Familiarity with database management and information systems is essential. Experience in field operations, particularly in complex contexts, humanitarian assistance, or emergency situations with a focus on migrant populations, ethnic groups, and gender-based violence contexts is valued. Knowledge of the intervention area of WFP in Riohacha (La Guajira, Cesar, Atlántico, and Magdalena) is an asset. Proficiency in computer use and office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is necessary. Experience with web-based systems and corporate platforms is also required.
Educational Background: The position requires the completion of secondary education as a minimum. A professional degree in relevant fields such as economics, engineering, data science, or similar areas is highly desirable, as it aligns with the functions of the role and enhances the candidate's ability to perform effectively in the position.
Experience: Candidates should possess a minimum of four years of specific experience in managing information related to projects or programs. Additional Notes: The contract type for this position is a Service Contract (SC) with a duration of six months, subject to renewal based on performance and available funding.
