Job Overview:
The Field Coordinator position is a senior management role under the supervision of the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director. The primary responsibilities include contributing to the development of the country strategy and design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, coordinating field operations, and implementing integrated programs. The Field Coordinator will also strengthen local partnerships and community engagement, manage field-level teams, and facilitate effective coordination with the coordination team. This role is crucial in ensuring that humanitarian assistance is delivered effectively in a challenging environment, where over half of the population requires support due to ongoing crises.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of Action Against Hunger's country strategy and program design, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and local needs.
• Coordinate field operations and oversee the implementation of integrated programs, ensuring that they are executed efficiently and effectively.
• Strengthen local partnerships and enhance community engagement at the field level, fostering collaboration and ownership among local stakeholders.
• Manage and support field-level teams, providing technical guidance and support from the Head of Departments.
• Facilitate effective coordination and collaboration with the coordination team to ensure cohesive program delivery and response.
• Monitor and evaluate program implementation, making adjustments as necessary to meet objectives and respond to changing conditions.
• Ensure compliance with security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security protocols and access management to safeguard staff and program activities.
• Represent Action Against Hunger in external meetings and forums, advocating for the needs of the communities served.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a degree in a relevant field such as Humanitarian Action, International Relations, or Development Studies. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within humanitarian or development organizations is required, particularly in similar contexts. Strong managerial competencies are essential, including strategic planning, operational management, budget and resource management, and security management. Candidates should possess excellent communication, coordination, and facilitation skills, along with negotiation abilities and leadership qualities.

Educational Background:
A degree in a related field such as Humanitarian Action, International Relations, Development Studies, or a similar discipline is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary theoretical foundation and understanding of the complexities involved in humanitarian work and development.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within humanitarian or development organizations. Candidates should have a proven track record in project management and demonstrate strong managerial competencies, including strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Afghanistan would be considered an asset, enhancing communication and engagement with local communities.

Additional Notes:
This position is available for both national and international applications. The contract duration is 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding. For international applicants, the contract will be under French legislation. The monthly gross salary ranges from €2597 to €2968, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. Additional benefits include reimbursement for pension insurance, monthly per diem, living allowance, cold allowance, child allowance, transportation and accommodation coverage, and comprehensive medical coverage. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year and 20 rest and recuperation (RnR) days, with airfare reimbursement for RnR periods. ACF also provides support for career development and access to an e-learning platform.
