Job Overview:
The Field Coordinator position at Action contre la Faim involves significant responsibilities under the supervision of the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director. The primary functions include contributing to the development of the country strategy and design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, coordinating field operations, and implementing integrated programs. The role emphasizes strengthening local partnerships, community engagement, and localization efforts at the field level. The Field Coordinator will also manage the field team, ensuring they receive technical support from the Heads of Departments. Effective coordination and collaboration with the coordination team are essential for the success of the programs. This position is crucial for ensuring that ACF's mission to eliminate hunger is effectively carried out in the field, particularly in challenging environments.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a degree in a relevant field such as Humanitarian Action, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related discipline. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within humanitarian and/or development organizations is required, particularly in contexts similar to Afghanistan. Candidates should possess strong managerial competencies, including strategic planning, operational management, budget and resource management, and security management. Excellent communication, coordination, and facilitation skills are essential, along with negotiation skills and the ability to lead and develop teams effectively.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a degree in a relevant field such as Humanitarian Action, International Relations, Development Studies, or a closely related area. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and the challenges faced in the field.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within humanitarian and/or development organizations. This experience should be in a similar context, demonstrating the ability to manage projects effectively and lead teams in challenging environments. Experience in project management is also essential, as is a proven track record of successful program implementation.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with international stakeholders. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly local languages spoken in Afghanistan, would be considered an asset and beneficial for community engagement and partnership building.
Additional Notes:
The position offers a 6-month contract for national applications, adhering to ACF's internal and national salary conditions in Afghanistan. For international applications, a fixed-term contract under French legislation is provided, also for 6 months. The monthly gross salary ranges from 2597 to 2968 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. Additional benefits include reimbursement of pension insurance for non-French citizens, annual salary increases, monthly per diem and living allowances, cold allowances for winter equipment, child allowances, transportation and accommodation coverage, and comprehensive medical coverage. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year, 20 rest and recuperation days, and support for career development through training and access to an e-learning platform.
