Job Overview: The Digital Fundraising Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Digital Fundraising Associate in executing fundraising and engagement activities. The assistant will also be responsible for managing social community interactions and moderating content across various platforms. Collaboration with external vendors and local teams is essential to ensure timely execution of activities and quality outputs. The role involves editing and managing content for the organization's website, donation pages, and social media profiles. Additionally, the assistant will coordinate fundraising events and work with volunteers and contractors as needed. The position is designed for individuals who are permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, and it offers a renewable contract each calendar year.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Digital Fundraising Assistant will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:
Supporting the Digital Fundraising Associate in fundraising and engagement activities, implementing innovative strategies to meet targets.
Managing social community interactions and moderating content across digital platforms.
Collaborating with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely execution of fundraising activities.
Working closely with local teams and other PSP fundraising markets to coordinate fundraising and engagement initiatives.
Editing and managing content for the organization's website, donation pages, and social media profiles.
Coordinating fundraising events and recruiting volunteers or contractors as necessary.
Assisting with fundraising-related administrative tasks.
Providing weekly work reports and project evaluations to supervisors.
Undertaking any additional responsibilities as delegated by supervisors.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma, with a preference for those holding a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Political Sciences, Public Information, Media, International Relations, Economics, Business Administration/Management, or a related field. A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is required for those with a High School Diploma, while candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or higher are not required to have prior experience. Experience in digital marketing for acquisition and engagement campaigns is essential, along with proven skills in executing digital fundraising strategies through various platforms such as Google Marketing Platform, social media, SEO/SEM, and email marketing. Familiarity with website content management systems and social media content creation is also necessary, and experience within the not-for-profit sector or with United Nations agencies is considered an asset.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a completion of High School, with a degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, or International Relations being desirable. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or higher are preferred, particularly those with a focus on digital marketing or communications.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have at least 1 year of work experience if they hold a High School Diploma. For those with a Bachelor’s degree or higher, no prior experience is necessary. Relevant experience in digital marketing, particularly in executing fundraising and engagement campaigns, is crucial.
