NCSW Communication Expert

Job Overview:
The NCSW Communication Expert position is designed for an individual consultant who will provide expert communication services to the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) in Pakistan. The role involves developing and implementing communication strategies that effectively promote the objectives and initiatives of the NCSW. The consultant will be expected to engage with various stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, and the media, to enhance the visibility and impact of the NCSW's work. The position requires a deep understanding of gender issues and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner. The consultant will also be responsible for creating content for various platforms, including social media, reports, and press releases, to ensure that the NCSW's messages reach a wide audience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive communication strategies that align with the NCSW's goals and objectives.
• Create and disseminate high-quality content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and press releases.
• Collaborate with NCSW staff and stakeholders to gather information and insights for communication materials.
• Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and events to promote NCSW initiatives and engage with the community.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with media representatives and other stakeholders to enhance the NCSW's visibility.
• Provide training and support to NCSW staff on communication best practices and tools.
• Stay updated on gender issues and trends in communication to ensure the NCSW remains relevant and impactful.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in communication, public relations, or a related field, preferably in the context of gender issues.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear and engaging content for diverse audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Knowledge of gender equality and women's rights issues in Pakistan is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, social sciences, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset.

Experience:
At least 5 years of professional experience in communication, public relations, or a related field, with a focus on gender issues. Experience working with governmental or non-governmental organizations in Pakistan is an advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Urdu or other local languages is highly desirable and would be considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is a total of 135 working days spread over 11 months, commencing from the date of signing the contract. This is a full-time position, and the consultant will be expected to work closely with the NCSW team. The recruitment process is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
