Job Overview:
The position of Consultant for Senior National Seaweed Sector Expert involves providing specialized expertise in the seaweed sector in Indonesia. This role requires a deep understanding of the seaweed value chain, including cultivation, processing, and market access. The consultant will work closely with local stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector actors, and community organizations, to identify challenges and opportunities within the sector. The assignment is set for a period of 60 working days over a span of 6 months, during which the consultant will conduct assessments, provide recommendations, and support capacity-building initiatives.

Educational Background:

Additional certifications or training in sustainable aquaculture or marine resource management would be advantageous.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the seaweed sector or related fields is required. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of successful project implementation and stakeholder engagement, particularly in developing countries. Experience with international organizations or development agencies is a plus.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance the effectiveness of the consultant's work.
Additional Notes:
This position is classified as an individual contractor role, and the contract duration is for 60 working days over a 6-month period. The consultant will work remotely, allowing for flexibility in location. Compensation details and benefits will be discussed during the selection process.
