Job Overview:
The position of Stagiaire chargé(e) de programme Appui aux petits producteurs agricoles et structuration des organisations des petits producteurs is designed for students or recent graduates who are looking to gain practical experience in agricultural support and community engagement. The intern will work under the supervision of the Programme Officer, contributing to the implementation and monitoring of agricultural activities supported by WFP. This role is crucial in enhancing food security and nutrition among vulnerable communities by providing technical assistance to farmers, collecting data, and supporting training and awareness-raising activities. The intern will be involved in various aspects of agricultural production, including the promotion of sustainable practices and resilience against climate change. Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Providing technical support for agricultural activities, including monitoring rain-fed and market gardening plots and other productive infrastructures supported by WFP.
• Assisting farmers in applying good agricultural practices and promoting resilient agricultural practices in the face of climate change.
• Participating in the organization of training sessions for farmers and contributing to the development and dissemination of awareness-raising materials.
• Supporting the facilitation of agricultural extension sessions at the community level and encouraging the sharing of experiences among farmers.
• Collecting data related to agricultural activities, contributing to the compilation and analysis of collected information, and updating databases and monitoring tools.
• Assisting in the drafting of mission reports and field notes, documenting best practices, innovations, and success stories, and ensuring regular reporting of information from intervention sites.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be either students or recent graduates in fields such as Agronomy, Plant Production, Rural Development, Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Sciences, or related disciplines. Eligibility criteria include being enrolled in a bachelor's program with at least two years of study completed or being enrolled in a master's program. Recent graduates (within the last six months) who have completed relevant coursework in the past 12 months are also eligible. Candidates must be able to travel and work in the designated internship location and must not have direct family ties to any WFP employee.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a focus on agricultural sciences or related fields. Candidates should have completed at least two years of a bachelor's degree or be enrolled in a master's program. Recent graduates who have completed relevant courses within the last year are also encouraged to apply.
