Job Overview:
The IOM Project Team Lead for Integration and Independent Living will play a crucial role in promoting the integration of beneficiaries of international protection and temporary protection into Greek society. This position involves close collaboration with national and local authorities and experienced partners through the Helios+ project, which focuses on comprehensive actions for the integration of third-country nationals into the labor market in the South Aegean region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project activities aimed at employability support, providing Greek language courses, vocational training, and supporting independent living through rental subsidies and activities that promote social cohesion and inclusion. The role requires strong leadership and management skills to ensure the effective implementation of project methodologies and the delivery of quality services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the IOM Project Team Lead include supervising and providing guidance to direct reports, developing methodologies and creating tools, materials, and standard operating procedures for project implementation. The candidate will monitor the quality of services and project activities, ensuring compliance with established standards through physical verification and reporting to senior management. Collaboration with other project components, IOM departments, and relevant actors is essential to ensure timely and efficient provision of project activities. The role also involves liaising with the Implementing Partner to ensure qualitative service delivery, collecting and verifying data, and submitting timely reports. The Project Team Lead will represent the project in meetings with stakeholders and participate in drafting reports to the donor, while also performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma with a minimum of four years of relevant working experience, or a University degree in fields such as psychology, social work, law, sociology, social anthropology, management, business administration, or public administration, with at least two years of work experience. A Master’s degree in the aforementioned fields is considered an advantage. The position requires a combination of knowledge, education, training, and skills necessary to perform essential functions effectively, along with computer literacy in standard software applications. Strong work ethics and a commitment to humanitarian principles are essential, and a valid driver’s license with at least five years of driving experience is advantageous.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a High School Diploma or a University degree in relevant fields such as psychology, social work, law, sociology, social anthropology, management, business administration, or public administration. Candidates with a Master’s degree in these fields will have an advantage in the selection process. Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database, ensuring that candidates have received their education from recognized institutions.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least two years of previous work experience, preferably in a multi-cultural environment. This experience should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in diverse settings and contribute to the successful implementation of projects related to migration and integration.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Greek is required for this position, both oral and written. IOM’s official languages also include French and Spanish, and proficiency in these languages may be considered an asset during the selection process. Language skills will be evaluated through written and/or oral assessments as part of the recruitment process.
