Job Overview:
The Information Management Officer for the WASH Cluster plays a crucial role in supporting the national and sub-national WASH coordination" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Cluster coordination system in Somalia. This position is vital for ensuring that accurate and timely data is available to inform decision-making processes related to WASH interventions. The officer will work closely with the WASH Specialist and the WASH Cluster Coordinator to implement and maintain the information management strategy, which includes data collection, analysis, and reporting. The role is designed to enhance the effectiveness of the WASH response by providing insights that guide strategic planning, resource mobilization, and accountability measures. The officer will also contribute to the Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan, ensuring that the needs of the population are adequately assessed and addressed through evidence-based interventions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Information Management Officer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: implementing and maintaining the WASH Cluster information management strategy; managing national and sub-national response monitoring tools and databases; designing data collection tools and conducting secondary data reviews; cleaning, validating, and securely storing data in compliance with data protection standards; producing various data visualizations such as dashboards, maps, and reports; supporting needs analysis and response prioritization; conducting gap and trend analysis; maintaining partner presence mapping; coordinating with other clusters and inter-agency working groups; supporting financial tracking and advocacy efforts; strengthening the information management capacity of partners and government entities through training; and promoting accountability and safeguarding measures within the WASH response. The officer may also be required to undertake field missions to ensure effective coordination and implementation of WASH activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Information Management Officer position should possess a strong background in information management, data analysis, and reporting. They should have experience in managing databases and information systems, as well as proficiency in data visualization tools. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets are essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with humanitarian response frameworks and WASH sector standards is highly desirable. Candidates should also exhibit a commitment to ethical practices and accountability in their work.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information management, data science, statistics, social sciences, or a related discipline is required. Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in information management, data analysis, or a related field. Languages:
