Job Overview:
The position of IC-National Legal Expert is focused on implementing the Sub-national Finance Solution for the Conservation License Plate Scheme in Thailand. This role is specifically designated for Thai nationals and is part of a broader initiative to enhance local financing mechanisms for conservation efforts. The expert will be responsible for providing legal insights and recommendations that align with national policies and regulations, ensuring that the implementation of the finance solution is compliant with existing laws. The assignment is expected to take place from September 2026 to February 2027, with a total of up to 30 working days allocated for the completion of the tasks. The expert will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, local authorities, and community organizations, to facilitate the successful rollout of the finance solution.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the IC-National Legal Expert position should possess the following qualifications:
Educational Background:
Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher qualification in Environmental Law, Public Policy, or a related discipline is preferred. Additional certifications or training in sustainable development or environmental management will be considered an asset.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in legal consulting, with a focus on environmental law or public finance. Experience working with governmental or international organizations on similar projects will be highly advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate a track record of successfully advising on legal matters related to conservation and sustainable development initiatives.
Languages:
Fluency in Thai is mandatory, as the position requires interaction with local stakeholders and authorities. Proficiency in English is also desirable, as it may be necessary for reporting and communication with international partners. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the region may be considered a plus.

- Ensuring compliance with national and international legal standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participating in meetings and workshops to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
