The Staff Assistant will also supervise the NATO Internal Portal (NIP) Page and manage the CAOC electronic library and filing systems, ensuring that all documents are properly archived and accessible. The role is critical in supporting the overall mission of the CAOC, which includes air policing and coordination with land and maritime forces.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a higher secondary education and completed higher vocational training in library, information science, management information systems, computer science, or a related discipline, leading to a formal technical or professional certification with at least 3 years of function-related experience. Alternatively, candidates with secondary education and advanced vocational training in the relevant discipline, along with 5 years of post-related experience, will also be considered. Proven experience in Information Management within a large organization or command headquarters is essential, along with a good knowledge of IT and common office automation applications.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes higher secondary education with vocational training in relevant fields such as library science, information management, or computer science. Candidates should have formal technical or professional certifications that align with the job functions. A secondary education with advanced vocational training leading to professional qualifications is also acceptable, provided the candidate has sufficient post-related experience.
Experience:
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in Information Management, particularly within a large company, organization, or command headquarters operations center. Experience in an air operations environment is highly desirable, along with a proven track record in preparing and coordinating staff user information requirements and policies.
Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English, with a proficiency level of SLP 3322, which includes listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The work environment primarily conducts both oral and written communication in English, making it essential for candidates to possess strong language skills in this regard.
Additional Notes:
The successful candidate will be offered a three-year definite duration contract, which may be followed by an indefinite duration contract. The entry-level monthly salary for a NATO Grade G10 position in Spain is Euro 4,404.21, which may be supplemented by allowances based on eligibility. Candidates must be nationals of NATO member countries and should be between 21 and 60 years of age at the time of appointment. A NATO security clearance and medical approval are essential for this position, although candidates do not need to possess a clearance at the time of application. The selected candidate will also be affiliated with the NATO Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (DCPS). Additionally, the role may require deployments in support of military operations, which could exceed 30 days and may occur on short notice.
