Job Overview:
The Field Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the overall management of their designated area. This role involves leading the development and implementation of programs in accordance with Action contre la Faim's mandate and procedures, ensuring a position of leadership while coordinating the activities of program and support teams. The Field Coordinator will develop strategies for their intervention area in alignment with the mission's objectives and coordinate the implementation of these strategies. They will also engage in external relations and contribute to the development of project proposals, ensuring effective program execution within their area. Additionally, the Field Coordinator will manage teams, ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements, and oversee security management in their area. This position requires a proactive approach to supervising and ensuring the smooth operation of support functions, making it essential for the candidate to possess strong leadership and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Field Coordinator include:
  • Developing and implementing strategies for the intervention area in line with the mission's objectives.
  • Coordinating the execution of programs within the designated area.
  • Managing and leading teams, ensuring effective collaboration between program and support staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting formats and deadlines.
  • Overseeing security management within the area of responsibility.

  • Implementing accountability mechanisms and addressing issues related to fraud and SEA (Sexual Exploitation and Abuse).

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a generalist or technical profile, typically holding a Bac + 4/5 degree from a business school, political science, or a higher diploma related to Action contre la Faim's activities. A proven track record in project development and significant experience in coordinating a base with substantial responsibilities is essential. Candidates should have experience in security management within volatile environments and be proficient in both written and spoken French. Proficiency in written and spoken English is desirable. Additionally, candidates should be adept at using computer tools and capable of drafting and synthesizing data and ideas effectively. An understanding of local cultural specifics and the ability to adapt communication styles accordingly is also important. Experience with continuous operational control mechanisms and project cycle management is required, along with strong analytical skills regarding security and humanitarian contexts.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bac + 4/5 level qualification, which can be obtained from a business school, political science program, or a higher education institution that offers degrees relevant to the activities of Action contre la Faim. The position is offered on a fixed-term contract under French law for a duration of 5 months, starting from September 7, 202
  • The gross monthly salary ranges from 2597 to 2968 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. For non-French citizens, a retirement insurance reimbursement of 16% of the gross monthly salary is provided. There is a 6% increase in the base salary every 12 months of continuous contract. Monthly per diem and living expenses amount to 1105 USD net, along with a contextual allowance of 450 euros. An annual child allowance of 1500 euros per child is available, with a maximum of 6000 euros per year. The organization covers transportation and collective housing costs. Medical coverage includes 100% reimbursement of health insurance contributions and medical expenses, extending up to one month after the contract ends. Salary maintenance provisions are in place for illness, maternity, and paternity. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 20 rest and recuperation days per year, with travel expenses covered for breaks.
