Job Overview:
The Budget and Reporting Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director of Finance in managing the Budget and Reporting Department. This position involves providing technical and operational support in various financial aspects, including budget planning, financial monitoring, and the preparation of financial reports for donors. The coordinator is also responsible for supervising and training finance staff, contributing to the enhancement of internal controls, managing partnerships, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. The role is vital for achieving the objectives of the country program and ensuring that financial operations align with the IRC's mission and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Budget and Reporting Coordinator include overseeing the strategic direction of budget management and financial reporting for the country program. This involves planning, monitoring, and analyzing budgets, providing financial oversight for partnerships, and offering capacity building and technical support to finance staff. The coordinator will assist in preparing and revising program and grant proposals and budgets, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and conducting monthly reviews of actual versus budget results. Additionally, the coordinator will prepare donor financial reports, analyze partnership budgets, and ensure timely submission of all financial reports. Other duties include contributing to the overall functioning of the finance department, coordinating finance meetings, and maintaining communication with program teams and partners.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in accounting, commerce, or business studies. A qualification in professional accountancy is considered an added advantage. The position requires a minimum of three years of experience in a busy finance department within an international NGO, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience with computerized accounting systems, particularly ERP accounting (D365).

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, commerce, or business studies. Additional qualifications in professional accountancy will be beneficial and enhance a candidate's profile.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least three years of relevant experience in a financial department of an international NGO. Experience with computerized accounting systems is essential, and familiarity with ERP accounting systems, such as D365, is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of financial management practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Languages:
Fluency in both spoken and written English and French is mandatory for this position. Strong communication skills in these languages are essential for effective reporting and collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
