Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of experience in logistics operations, including transport and vendor management, inventory control, commodity tracking, logistics documentation, and operational planning. Proficiency in using SAP systems for logistics management is also required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A client-service mindset is essential, as the Logistics Assistant will be expected to respond to various technical queries and support stakeholders effectively.
Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in a related functional area is desirable, as it provides additional knowledge and skills relevant to logistics operations and management.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in logistics operations. This includes experience in transport and vendor management, inventory control, commodity tracking, logistics documentation, and operational planning. Familiarity with data analysis and reporting is also essential, as the Logistics Assistant will be responsible for compiling and analyzing logistics data to support decision-making processes.
Languages:
Fluency in both oral and written communication in English is mandatory. Additionally, proficiency in local languages, specifically Pashto and Dari, is highly desirable, as it facilitates effective communication with local stakeholders and beneficiaries.

- Manage logistics vendors' contracting activities, including performance monitoring and measurement.
- Respond to technical queries and requests for support, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of inquiries.
- Contribute to budget preparation, monitoring, and revision for all delivery modalities, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
- Monitor inventory management processes to track trends and account for inventory status from source to beneficiary.
- Manage commodity accounting data quality and integrity.
- Support operational pipeline analyses, assessments, and operational planning for all delivery modalities.
- Process documentation for logistics operations, including customs clearance and invoice verification. 1
- Collect and compile data, produce reports, and ensure information accuracy in corporate systems. 1
