Job Overview:
The position of IC- Coordination support expert to the EU Readiness Programme involves providing specialized support to enhance the coordination and implementation of the EU Readiness Programme. The expert will be responsible for facilitating communication among stakeholders, ensuring that project objectives are met, and contributing to the overall success of the programme. This role requires a deep understanding of EU policies and frameworks, as well as the ability to navigate complex institutional environments. The expert will work closely with various partners, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and international bodies, to ensure alignment with EU standards and practices. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the IC- Coordination support expert include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinating with various stakeholders involved in the EU Readiness Programme to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to the management team.
  • Identifying potential challenges and proposing solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to the programme.
  • Preparing reports and documentation to support project activities and outcomes.
  • Engaging with local communities and partners to promote the objectives of the EU Readiness Programme.
  • Ensuring compliance with UNDP policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contributing to the capacity building of local stakeholders to enhance their ability to engage with EU processes.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include a strong background in international relations, public administration, or a related field. Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. A proven track record of project management and coordination experience is essential, along with a solid understanding of EU policies and frameworks. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable recommendations.

Educational Background:
Candidates are expected to have at least a Master's degree in international relations, public administration, political science, or a related field. Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management, coordination, or a similar role, preferably within the context of EU-funded projects or programmes. Experience working with international organizations, government agencies, or civil society organizations is highly desirable. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, as well as experience in stakeholder engagement and capacity building.

Languages:
