Job Overview:
The Driver position at the World Bank Group in Riyadh is a critical role that involves transporting Bank staff to various destinations while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and driving standards. The Driver will be responsible for operating office vehicles, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining records of trips and vehicle conditions. The Driver will report directly to the Hub Manager and will play a vital role in supporting the operational functions of the Saudi Arabia Hub Office. The role is not just about driving; it also involves ensuring that the vehicle is in optimal condition and ready for use at all times, which is essential for the smooth functioning of the office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver will have a variety of responsibilities, including: transporting Bank staff to their desired destinations while adhering to time schedules and traffic regulations; ensuring the highest security standards are maintained during transport; performing routine maintenance and cleaning of the assigned vehicle; checking essential vehicle components such as gasoline, oil, water, and brakes; conducting minor repairs and maintenance as needed; maintaining records of trips, mileage, gasoline consumption, and servicing; delivering the vehicle to maintenance locations; making minor purchases and deliveries for the office; and undertaking other tasks as assigned by the Senior Driver. The Driver must be proactive in ensuring the vehicle's security and must be able to respond to any issues that arise during transport.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma and a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record. A minimum of six years of driving experience is required, with at least two years in an international or multinational organization. Knowledge of Saudi Arabian driving rules and regulations is essential, along with technical skills in basic vehicle maintenance. Defensive driving skills training is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should also demonstrate a sense of urgency and accountability in their work, as well as the ability to respond to the needs of stakeholders effectively.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma. This foundational education is essential for understanding basic vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as for following safety protocols while driving.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of six years of driving experience, with at least two years in an international or multinational organization. This experience is crucial for understanding the complexities of driving in diverse environments and adhering to international standards of safety and professionalism.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position. These language skills are essential for effective communication with staff and understanding local driving regulations. Additional language skills may be considered an advantage but are not required.
