Job Overview:
The position of Responsable Plaidoyer is split equally between the Forum des ONG internationales en République démocratique du Congo (FONGI) and Action contre la Faim (ACF). The primary aim of this role is to enhance both collective and organizational advocacy efforts through coordinated engagement, data-driven messaging, and strategic communication with key stakeholders. Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Responsable Plaidoyer position should possess a graduate degree in social sciences, international relations, international law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">humanitarian law, political science, development studies, or a related field. Additionally, relevant experience in political analysis, advocacy strategy, and lobbying is essential. Candidates should have a proven track record in coordinating advocacy actions in complex and prolonged humanitarian crisis contexts. Strong skills in implementing advocacy strategies and creating high-quality advocacy and communication materials are also required. Knowledge of the DRC is considered an asset, as well as the ability to listen, collaborate, build multi-stakeholder relationships, and make decisions within deadlines. Excellent management and leadership skills, along with strong analytical abilities, are crucial for success in this role.
Educational Background:
Candidates must hold a graduate degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, international relations, international humanitarian law, political science, or development studies. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of humanitarian advocacy and the political landscape in which ACF operates.
Experience:
Candidates should have significant experience in political analysis, advocacy strategy, and lobbying, ideally with prior experience in a similar role focused on coordinating advocacy actions in humanitarian crisis contexts. This experience is vital for effectively navigating the challenges and opportunities present in the DRC's advocacy landscape.
Languages:
Fluency in both French and English is mandatory for this position, as effective communication in both languages is essential for engaging with diverse stakeholders. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.
Additional Notes:
The position is offered on a fixed-term contract under French law for a duration of 6 months. The gross monthly salary ranges from 2597 to 2968 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. Non-French citizens will receive a retirement insurance reimbursement of 16% of their gross monthly salary. There is a 6% increase in the base salary every 12 months of continuous contract. Additional benefits include a monthly per diem and living expenses of $1105 net, a monthly context allowance of 450 euros, and a child allowance of 1500 euros per year for each child present in the home country (with a ceiling of 6000 euros per year). Transportation and accommodation are provided, and medical coverage includes 100% reimbursement of health contributions and repatriation insurance, covering medical expenses up to one month after the end of the contract. Salary maintenance provisions are in place for illness, maternity, and paternity. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 20 rest and recuperation days per year, with travel expenses covered for breaks.
