Job Overview:
In this role, you will be under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director for Programmes, leading the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) department. Your primary mission will be to ensure the innovative and high-quality deployment of the sectoral strategy and MHPSS operations of Action contre la Faim within the country office. You will be responsible for defining MHPSS strategies and positioning for the country office, coordinating and supporting the implementation of MHPSS programmes, and functionally managing and supervising MHPSS teams. Additionally, you will represent Action contre la Faim and promote its positioning within the MHPSS sector, ensuring that the organization's objectives are met effectively and efficiently.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a Master's Degree in psychology or mental health. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in international solidarity is required, with at least 3 years specifically in humanitarian and/or development project management within the MHPSS sector. Candidates should have experience working on integrated programmes related to Health, Nutrition, MHPSS, and/or Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH). Strong communication skills, particularly in representation and proposal writing, are essential. Experience in the Middle East is considered an asset, as is prior experience working with Action contre la Faim.
Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in psychology or mental health, which provides the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for effective leadership in the MHPSS sector. This educational background is critical for understanding the complexities of mental health issues and psychosocial support in humanitarian contexts.
Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of professional experience in international solidarity, with a minimum of 3 years in humanitarian and/or development project management specifically within the MHPSS sector. This level of experience is essential to ensure that the candidate is well-versed in the challenges and best practices associated with mental health and psychosocial support in crisis situations.
Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an advantage, particularly if they are relevant to the populations served by Action contre la Faim in Yemen.
Additional Notes:
This position is offered as a fixed-term contract under French legislation for a duration of 3 months. The monthly gross salary ranges from 2597 to 2968 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. Non-French citizens will have their pension insurance reimbursed at a rate of 16% of the gross monthly salary. Employees can expect an annual salary increase of 6% after each 12 months of continuous contract. Additional benefits include a monthly per diem and living allowance of $730 net, a country allowance of 450 euros, and a child allowance of 1500 euros per year for each child present in the country of origin (up to a maximum of 6000 euros per year). Transportation and accommodation costs will be covered, and ACF provides comprehensive medical coverage, including health and repatriation insurance for employees and their dependents. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year, 20 rest and recuperation days, and airfare reimbursement for travel to their chosen break destination.
