Job Overview:
The position involves conducting a comprehensive Digital and AI Readiness and Landscape Assessment specifically tailored for Ghana's health sector. The contractor will be responsible for evaluating the current state of digital technologies and artificial intelligence applications within the health sector, identifying gaps, opportunities, and challenges. This assessment aims to provide actionable insights and recommendations that will guide the integration of digital solutions and AI in health services, ultimately enhancing healthcare delivery and outcomes in Ghana. The assignment is expected to be completed within a period of 30 working days, and the contractor will need to submit their proposal through the UNDP supplier portal by the specified deadline. The role requires a deep understanding of both the health sector and digital technologies, as well as the ability to analyze complex data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct a thorough assessment of the current digital and AI landscape in Ghana's health sector, including existing technologies, infrastructure, and capabilities.
• Identify key stakeholders in the health sector and engage with them to gather insights and perspectives on digital readiness.
• Analyze data related to health outcomes, service delivery, and technology adoption to identify trends and gaps.
• Develop a comprehensive report detailing the findings of the assessment, including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis).
• Provide actionable recommendations for enhancing digital and AI integration in health services.
• Collaborate with UNDP and other partners to ensure alignment with national health strategies and policies.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including government officials and health sector representatives.
• Respond to any queries or requests for clarification from UNDP during the assessment process.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in digital health, artificial intelligence, and technology assessment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
• Experience working with health sector stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations.
• Familiarity with the health landscape in Ghana or similar contexts is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Science, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in digital health or AI applications in healthcare will be an advantage.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in digital health, technology assessment, or related fields is required. Experience in conducting assessments or evaluations in the health sector is highly desirable. Previous work with international organizations or development agencies will be an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Ghana will be considered an advantage, as it may facilitate communication with local stakeholders.

• The role is project-based and may involve remote work, but the contractor must be available for meetings and presentations as required. Compensation will be based on the contractor's qualifications and experience, in accordance with UNDP's policies.
