Job Overview:
In this role, you will be based in Torrejon, Spain, and will be part of a transformative journey to enhance IT services in support of NATO's Digital Endeavour. You will work within the CSU Torrejon, which is responsible for managing, delivering, and maintaining Communication and Information Systems (CIS) products and services for NATO's customers during peacetime, crises, and wartime. As the local service provider and Service Management Authority (SMA) for the Combined Air Operations Centre – Torrejon (CAOC-T), your contributions will be vital in ensuring secure and reliable end-to-end services under the Enterprise Service Delivery Model (ESDM). The position requires a proactive and enthusiastic approach to IT change management, where you will engage in various activities that support the agency's mission and operational needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include undertaking basic risk management activities, maintaining documentation of risks, threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation actions. You will use standard techniques to elicit, specify, and document requirements for simple subject areas with clearly defined boundaries. Additionally, you will assist in defining and managing requirements, applying tools and processes to administer, track, log, report on, and correct configuration items, components, and changes. You will also assist with audits to ensure the accuracy of information and undertake necessary corrective actions under direction. Furthermore, you will apply change control procedures for standard, low-risk changes and identify common types of infrastructure and non-infrastructure changes in information technology. Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least 2 years of post-related experience, or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years of post-related experience. You should have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in managing change requests from initiation to closure while engaging with relevant process owners and stakeholders. Additionally, you must have 2 years of experience in configuration management, maintaining CMDB/inventory accuracy, performing audits and reconciliations, managing software licenses, and administering external vendor support contracts and SLAs. Experience in leading small teams is also required, along with fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes higher vocational training in a relevant field or a secondary educational qualification. This educational foundation should be complemented by the requisite years of experience in related roles, ensuring that candidates have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform effectively in the position.
Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in managing change requests and configuration management. This experience should include practical involvement in the entire lifecycle of change management, from initiation through to closure, as well as experience in maintaining accurate inventories and managing software licenses. Additionally, experience in leading small teams is advantageous, as it demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively and guide others in achieving common goals.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, both in written and spoken forms. This proficiency is essential for effective communication within the organization and with stakeholders. While English is the primary language required, knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage in a diverse work environment.

This position offers a 5-year contract with a competitive tax-free salary, along with household and children's allowances.
