Job Overview:
The Senior Program Officer (SPO) for Digital Health and AI applications will play a pivotal role in enhancing HIV and TB programs worldwide through the development of AI-driven solutions. This position will focus on creating innovative AI tools for testing and programmatic deployment, designing sustainable self-care models, and coordinating product introductions for HIV and TB prevention and treatment initiatives. The SPO will work closely with global and country teams, stakeholders, and various foundation program teams to implement transformative solutions that align with global health priorities. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in AI and data systems, a deep understanding of HIV and TB programming, and a commitment to improving health outcomes through innovative technology. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Development of Digital Health and AI Solutions: Lead the creation of novel digital health and AI tools for HIV and TB prevention, treatment, and adherence programs. Collaborate with delivery teams to integrate these solutions into existing strategies. Design self-care approaches that enhance program sustainability and scalability.
  • Self-Care Strategy and Integration: Contribute to a robust self-care program strategy that integrates digital health and AI solutions, empowering individuals and providers in prevention and treatment.
  • Prevention Product Introduction Coordination: Coordinate the introduction of prevention products, ensuring alignment with other Product Strategy Teams and providing technical support for integration with digital health solutions.
  • Digital Health and AI Framework Development: Develop and manage a framework for digital health and AI across HIV and TB delivery, addressing ethical, regulatory, and monitoring considerations.
  • Key Investments in Digital Health and AI: Identify and manage investments in digital health and AI solutions to support self-care initiatives and enhance program delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders at global and country levels, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams and external partners.
  • Evidence and Impact Measurement: Provide evidence to inform prevention product introductions and contribute to metrics/KPIs for monitoring public health impact.
  • Innovation and Systems Resiliency: Advocate for innovations that enhance service delivery and health outcomes, driving the integration of digital health and AI to strengthen program intelligence.

Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in applied data science, AI, or a related technical field, with a strong background in global health programming, particularly in HIV and TB.
  • Proven experience in developing digital and AI models and tools, machine learning, and data analytics solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI applications in healthcare, especially in HIV and TB contexts.
  • Knowledge of ethical, regulatory, and monitoring considerations related to AI use in healthcare programs.
  • Experience working in low- and middle-income countries and understanding global health systems and challenges.

Educational Background:
