Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Logistics Coordinator position must possess a generalist educational background, ideally holding a master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Relevant training in logistics, such as Bioforce training or a bachelor's degree in logistics, is also acceptable. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in complex emergency humanitarian contexts, with at least 3 years of experience in team management and supply chain management. Experience in building and strengthening the capacities of national or local civil society organizations is highly valued, as is prior experience working within the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement. Candidates must also have a valid driving license (manual gear) and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and strong analytical skills.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Alternatively, candidates may have a bachelor's degree in logistics or relevant training that equips them with the necessary skills and knowledge for the role. The emphasis is on having a solid foundation in logistics principles and practices, as well as practical experience in the field.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in complex emergency humanitarian contexts, which indicates a need for candidates to have a deep understanding of the challenges and dynamics involved in such environments. Additionally, candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in team management, demonstrating their ability to lead and coordinate logistics teams effectively. The position is classified as an expatriate role with a fixed-term contract under French law. The salary will be determined based on the classification of the position within the French Red Cross grid and the candidate's experience. Employees will receive a daily per diem that varies according to the country of assignment. Leave entitlements range from 10 to 15 days minimum every 6 months, with airfare for home travel covered at 100% by the French Red Cross. Health coverage includes CFE and Mutuelle MSH, with 100% coverage for the former and 75% for the latter. MedEvac and repatriation insurance are provided, along with other insurances for death and disability. The position is set to last for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal, and the starting date is anticipated for September 202

- Coordinating logistics operations for the French Red Cross delegation and all projects supported by the French Red Cross in collaboration with URCS.
- Managing, supervising, and monitoring all purchases of supplies, goods, services, and works in accordance with project requirements and delegation needs.
- Overseeing stock management and IT resources to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Building and maintaining partnerships with URCS's Logistics Department and other relevant counterparts to enhance collaboration and effectiveness.
- Providing day-to-day logistics capacity building and strengthening for URCS partners to improve their operational capabilities.
- Monitoring and managing security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of staff and operations in the field. The Logistics Coordinator will also be expected to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including FRC HQ support and technical departments, URCS program teams, and other partners within the Red Cross Movement.
