Job Overview:
The Driver Senior G3 position at WFP involves providing efficient and safe transportation services to senior WFP personnel, high-level United Nations officials, and visitors. Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Driver Senior G3 include:

• Providing transportation services to senior WFP staff, UN officials, and high-level visitors, ensuring adherence to authorized itineraries and safety regulations.
• Planning and coordinating the schedules and routes of other drivers to optimize transportation services.
• Welcoming official personnel and visitors at airports or other arrival points, assisting with visa processing and customs formalities.
• Maintaining accurate vehicle records and reporting mechanical conditions to supervisors to ensure efficient vehicle use and fuel consumption.
• Coordinating vehicle maintenance to ensure all vehicles are equipped with necessary travel authorizations and supplies.
• Following established protocols for deliveries and accidents, promptly reporting issues to supervisors.
• Performing basic office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining order in storage areas to support administrative functions.
• Acting as the focal point for vehicle management systems and ensuring effective tracking and maintenance of vehicles at the national level.
• Providing backup support for fleet management responsibilities during absences of the fleet manager.

Required Qualifications:
The minimum standard requirements for this position include:

• Completion of secondary education.
• Official driver training and a valid driving license or certificate for the assigned vehicle, adhering to local regulations.
• A minimum of three years of professional driving experience, preferably in an international organization, embassy, or UN system, with a proven safety record.
• Experience driving various vehicle types, including vans, trucks, and other motor vehicles, with defensive driving experience being an asset.
• Knowledge of driving regulations, protocols, and local road conditions, as well as safety issues related to transportation.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed secondary education and possess formal driver training. A valid driver's license or certificate for the vehicle type they will be operating is also required, in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least three years of driving experience, ideally within an international context such as an NGO, embassy, or UN agency. A demonstrated history of safe driving practices is essential, along with experience in operating a variety of vehicle types.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish (level C) is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
