Job Overview:
The E T Consultant (Regional Engagement Analyst) position is integral to the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU) at the World Bank Group. This role is designed to support the organization's mission of ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity by delivering transformative information and technologies to staff across over 150 locations. The consultant will serve as a focal point for the ITS Country Engagement unit (ITSCE), which is responsible for providing digital support for global and country-specific products, aligning systems with the new Country Engagement model, and delivering geospatial solutions to enhance spatial visibility and impact tracking. The Regional Engagement Analyst will engage with stakeholders to promote awareness and adoption of technology and geospatial capabilities, helping to identify operational challenges and support development outcomes. The role requires familiarity with geospatial concepts and the ability to communicate effectively about the value of these solutions to various stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Regional Engagement Analyst include serving as the main point of contact for the Regional Operations Studio, coordinating activities to ensure country teams are connected with appropriate ITSOE products and advisory services, facilitating workshops and engagement activities, capturing operational needs and technology challenges, leading outreach and communications to expand awareness of the Regional Operations Studio, and building relationships with various stakeholders. Additionally, the analyst will act as a focal point for promoting the ITSCE Geospatial Solutions portfolio, maintaining knowledge of geospatial products, identifying operational challenges that can benefit from geospatial approaches, and supporting the development of communication materials that showcase the operational value of geospatial insights.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, relationship-building, communication, presentation, and facilitation are essential. The ability to translate technology and geospatial concepts into practical operational value propositions is crucial, as is a strong understanding of how technology, AI, data, and geospatial solutions can enhance operational teams and improve business outcomes. Basic familiarity with geospatial technologies and concepts is required, along with strong storytelling and visual communication skills.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Geography, or a related discipline, or a Bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience. Candidates should have a solid understanding of geospatial analysis and its applications in operational contexts.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for candidates with a Master's degree or at least 7 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Experience in stakeholder engagement, outreach activities, and working within complex global institutions such as the World Bank Group or similar organizations is highly desirable. Familiarity with operational workflows and engagement initiatives is also beneficial.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position. Familiarity with additional languages may be considered an advantage, although not explicitly required.
