Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Administrative Student include learning from and assisting experienced professionals in your field of study, supporting daily operations by preparing documents, analyzing data, and helping coordinate activities. You will take part in day-to-day support activities under close supervision, ensuring that you gain valuable insights into the administrative processes at CERN. Additionally, you will collaborate with team members from various disciplines, contributing to a dynamic and inclusive work environment. Your role will also involve engaging in discussions and brainstorming sessions to exchange ideas and improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be currently studying in Administration, Communication, Finance, Human Resources, Law, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field. It is essential that you are required or encouraged by your university to complete a practical training period. You should demonstrate a strong eagerness to develop your skills through on-the-job learning and possess a proactive attitude towards your work. Teamwork and the ability to learn from others in a collaborative setting are crucial for success in this role. Educational Background:
To be eligible for this position, candidates must have completed at least 18 months of their studies (3 semesters) in the respective field at the time of selection. PhD students or holders are not eligible to apply. You must remain enrolled as a full-time student during your studentship, ensuring that you can fully engage with the responsibilities of the role while continuing your academic pursuits.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate a strong foundation in their field of study and a willingness to learn and grow within the administrative environment at CERN. Languages:

The position is fully onsite, with an ideal start date of 01/04/2
  • The contract duration can range from 4 to 12 months, with weekly working hours set at 4
  • The role offers a monthly allowance of 3486 Swiss Francs (tax-free), along with 30 days of paid leave per year plus 2 weeks of annual closure. Candidates will be covered by CERN’s comprehensive Health Insurance scheme, with contributions automatically deducted from the allowance. There may also be a family supplement to the subsistence allowance, depending on individual circumstances. Travel expenses to Geneva upon joining CERN may be covered, depending on individual circumstances. It is important to note that applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State, and currently, applications from Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, and Croatian nationals cannot be considered due to membership agreements.
