Job Overview:
The National Junior Consultant for Project Implementation will be responsible for supporting the implementation of specific projects under the UNDP framework in Bangladesh. This role involves working closely with project teams to ensure that project activities are executed efficiently and effectively. The consultant will assist in the planning, coordination, and monitoring of project activities, ensuring alignment with UNDP's strategic objectives. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and other partners. The consultant will also be expected to contribute to reporting and documentation processes, ensuring that all project outputs are captured and communicated appropriately. This role is crucial for the successful delivery of project outcomes and will involve a commitment to the principles of sustainable development and social equity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the National Junior Consultant for Project Implementation include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of project work plans and timelines.
  • Coordinating with project stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution of project activities.
  • Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to the project manager.
  • Collecting and analyzing data related to project performance and outcomes.
  • Preparing reports and documentation for project activities, ensuring compliance with UNDP standards.
  • Supporting capacity-building initiatives for local partners and stakeholders.
  • Participating in meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required.
  • Identifying challenges and proposing solutions to enhance project effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the National Junior Consultant position should possess the following qualifications:

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as international development, public administration, business administration, or a related discipline. Experience:
The position requires candidates to have at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in project implementation, management, or a related field. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of development projects, is highly desirable. Familiarity with UNDP's operational procedures and guidelines will be considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Bengali is an advantage, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and partners. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not required.

Additional Notes:
The contract for this position is for a duration of 65 days over a period of five months. This is a consultancy role, and the consultant will be expected to work on a full-time basis during the assignment period. The position is open to both national and international applicants, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
