Job Overview:
The Resource Development Coordinator will play a pivotal role within the Resource Development team at Relief International. This position is hybrid and open to candidates based in France, offering a competitive salary of approximately €55,000 per annum. The coordinator will be responsible for supporting global fundraising efforts and program growth by identifying funding opportunities, strengthening relationships with donors, and coordinating the development of high-quality proposals. This role requires collaboration with country offices, program teams, finance colleagues, and external partners to secure resources necessary for impactful humanitarian and development programming. The coordinator will also be expected to travel up to 30% of the time, including occasional field visits on short notice, to support multiple country offices globally.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Resource Development Coordinator include:

• Identifying funding opportunities and monitoring donor trends to support strategic positioning with institutional, foundation, and non-traditional donors.
• Coordinating and leading the development of high-quality, compliant proposals, concept notes, and funding submissions in collaboration with country, program, and support teams.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, partners, NGOs, and other stakeholders to support business development and fundraising objectives.
• Providing technical support and capacity strengthening to country teams on design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, proposal development, and donor requirements.
• Supporting multiple country offices globally and undertaking travel of up to 30%, including occasional travel to field locations at short notice.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate success in securing funding from both institutional and non-institutional donors, as well as experience in supporting complex proposal development processes, including consortium bids. A strong knowledge of European donor mechanisms, grant management requirements, proposal budgeting, and donor compliance regulations is essential. Proven experience in managing the full proposal development cycle, from opportunity identification to donor submission, is required. Excellent skills in proposal writing, communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management are necessary, along with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams. Professional-level proficiency in both French and English is mandatory, and experience in supporting humanitarian programming in fragile or conflict-affected contexts is essential. Familiarity with UN funding mechanisms and US Government donors is considered a plus.

Educational Background:
The position requires a relevant educational background, typically a degree in international development, public administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees may be preferred, particularly for candidates with extensive experience in resource development and fundraising.

Experience:
Candidates should possess significant experience in resource development, particularly in the humanitarian sector. A demonstrated track record of successfully securing funding and managing proposal development processes is crucial. Experience in working with diverse teams and in various cultural contexts is also important, as is familiarity with the challenges faced in fragile or conflict-affected environments.

Languages:
Fluency in both French and English is mandatory for this position. Candidates should possess professional-level language skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders and partners. Additional language skills may be advantageous but are not required.
