Job Overview:
In this role, you will work under the supervision of the International Accounting Manager, focusing on supporting the analysis and justification of donor receivables, intercompany flows, and the accounting practices of our intervention countries. Your responsibilities will include implementing legal accounting processes and ACF-defined procedures for the cycles under your direct responsibility, as well as occasionally for others. You will manage the cycles within your scope, conducting regular analyses, semi-annual reviews, and justifications to auditors and statutory auditors. Additionally, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the service by optimizing our tools and procedures and supporting other activities. You will ensure accurate accounting tracking of international funding and grants from institutional and private donors, guaranteeing the reliability of accounting operations related to funding, monitoring receivables, and proper allocation of receipts. Participation in accounting closures, particularly in foreign currency re-evaluations and accounting for exchange rate differences, will also be part of your duties. You will perform accounting and bank reconciliations, produce necessary financial reports for funding monitoring, and assist in preparing internal and external audits. Continuous improvement of accounting procedures and tools in collaboration with financial and operational teams will be a key aspect of your role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
You must hold a degree in Finance, such as a BTS in Accounting Management, and have at least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role, specifically in client accounting and multi-donor funding tracking. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, accounting software, and ERP systems is essential, along with advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with currency operations is a valued asset, as is experience in the non-profit sector. You should be recognized for your organizational skills, rigor, and diplomacy, as well as your ability to work in an international environment.
Educational Background:
A degree in Finance, specifically a BTS in Accounting Management or equivalent, is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation in accounting principles and practices essential for the role.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar position is required. This experience should include a strong focus on client accounting and the management of multi-donor funding, demonstrating a solid understanding of the complexities involved in international accounting practices.
Languages:
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory due to the international nature of the work. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication within diverse teams and with various stakeholders.
Additional Notes:
This position is classified as a cadre integrated role, with a fixed-term contract of 4 months and full-time hours. The workplace is located in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis). The salary ranges from €37,000 to €44,000 gross annually, depending on experience, with a seniority bonus applicable after 3 years of service at the headquarters. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 21 days of RTT. Health coverage and insurance are provided, with 80% of costs covered by ACF. Salary maintenance provisions are in place for illness, maternity, and paternity. Transportation costs are partially reimbursed, and meal vouchers are provided with a 60% contribution from the organization. Telework is available to all employees from metropolitan territory, with a mandatory presence at the headquarters of one day per week. Collective presence for meetings and events is required up to three days per month, and two days of mandatory presence during team integration.
