Additionally, 2.5 days per month of authorized absences are provided, contingent on the association contract lasting at least four months, along with two weeks of annual closure. Travel expenses to Geneva upon joining CERN may be covered, depending on individual circumstances. Candidates must remain employed by their home institute during their appointment at CERN, and their institute must be located in a CERN Member or Associate Member State, excluding France, Italy, Germany, and Great Britain. Furthermore, applicants must be below the CERN retirement age by the application deadline.
