Job Overview:
The Head Health Centre B position at UNRWA involves overseeing the health services provided at the assigned health center. The incumbent will report directly to the Area Health Officer and will be responsible for supervising a team of professional and general services staff. The role requires the provision of general outpatient services, including maternal and child health, management of non-communicable diseases, and hospital referrals. The incumbent will also conduct medical examinations for staff and applicants, manage health center operations, ensure the availability of medical supplies, and maintain relationships with the local community and authorities. Additionally, the Head Health Centre B will participate in training programs for staff and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide general outpatient services and specialized services, including maternal and child health and management of non-communicable diseases, as well as facilitate hospital referrals.
• Conduct medical examinations for applicants seeking special hardship assistance, newly recruited staff, and periodic medical examinations for existing staff, including ratifying sick leaves.
• Manage the assigned health center, including organizing services, supervising personnel, managing supplies, and reporting on health center activities.
• Supervise the work of medical, nursing, and para-medical staff, evaluating their performance and providing guidance as necessary.
• Maintain effective relationships with the local community and local authorities to enhance service delivery.
• Ensure the availability of medicines and medical supplies, overseeing their ordering, receipt, and proper management, including the destruction of expired items.
• Participate in on-the-job training and in-service training for staff according to approved plans.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a medical degree from an accredited institution, including a minimum of twelve months of internship experience. A valid medical license to practice in the duty station is also required. Additionally, a post-graduate degree or diploma in public health, family health, or a related discipline is desirable. Educational Background:

Additional Notes:

Additional benefits include a monthly Provident Fund contribution, compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and a dependency allowance if applicable.
