Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the IT Operations Associate position should possess a secondary school education, with a post-secondary certificate in a relevant functional area being desirable. A minimum of six years of professional experience in the IT field is required, with a proven track record in service management analysis and the formulation of recommendations for service improvement. Experience in operational procedure redesign and participation in procurement and budgeting processes within country offices is also essential. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of IT governance, project management principles, and service management standards to ensure excellence in service delivery.
Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a post-secondary qualification in a relevant field being advantageous. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding the technical aspects of IT operations and support.
Experience:
A minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in IT operations or support is required. Candidates should have experience in analyzing service management results and making recommendations for improvements. Participation in operational procedure redesign and familiarity with procurement and budgeting processes in a country office context is also necessary.
Languages:
Fluency in French (level C) is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of English is considered an asset, enhancing communication capabilities within the international context of WFP's operations.

This position is offered as a Service Contract (SC6) for a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of renewal. - Respond independently to IT inquiries, escalating issues as necessary to ensure accurate information is communicated to staff.
- Provide standard technical training to end-users on common technologies and systems to assist WFP personnel in their work.
- Offer guidance and training to less experienced colleagues to enhance their IT support capabilities and contribute to staff capacity building.
- Assist in coordinating the rollout of new applications to equip WFP staff with the tools needed for effective work.
- Develop standard documents, such as user manuals or technical sheets, to ensure staff have access to essential information regarding IT services and products.
- Implement improvements to methods and processes within the IT Division to enhance the quality of IT services provided.
- Ensure installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and equipment to optimize services in accordance with established operating procedures. 1
- Coordinate a team of IT professionals to ensure individual and collective objectives are met in compliance with applicable regulations and policies. 1
- Apply emergency response processes and procedures as needed to assist with urgent food assistance requirements. 1
