Job Overview:
The mission of the position is to ensure the psychological care and follow-up of national collaborators of Action contre la Faim and partner NGOs under the supervision of the Human Resources Department Head. The role involves coordinating all activities related to Psychological Care for Collaborators (SPC), providing immediate and long-term care for critical incidents and their psychological consequences, and preventing and supporting collaborators in facing various forms of stress. The position requires coordination with different partner NGOs, with the support of the manager, who serves as the focal point of the consortium. This role necessitates frequent travel within the Democratic Republic of the Congo, including to occupied areas, and demands a high degree of flexibility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the position include coordinating all Psychological Care activities for collaborators, conducting immediate and long-term psychological care for critical incidents, preventing and supporting collaborators in managing stress, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration with partner NGOs. The role also involves evaluating psychological and behavioral risks, conducting individual consultations, and providing psychopathological and psychotherapeutic diagnoses. Additionally, the position requires the ability to analyze and produce synthesis documents, develop and facilitate training sessions or working groups, and adapt communication styles to establish trust with interlocutors. Organizational skills and confidentiality are essential for managing projects, prioritizing tasks, representing Action contre la Faim, and developing a professional network.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Master 2 degree in clinical psychology and psychotherapy, with at least 2 years of professional experience in psycho-traumatology. Experience in the humanitarian sector is required. Applicants should be capable of applying theoretical and technical fundamentals of psychotraumatology, assessing psychological and behavioral risks, conducting individual consultations, and proposing psychopathological/psychotherapeutic diagnoses. Strong skills in document analysis and synthesis, as well as in training development and facilitation, are necessary. The ability to adapt communication styles and establish trusting relationships with colleagues is crucial, along with organizational skills and a commitment to confidentiality.
Educational Background:
A Master 2 degree in clinical psychology and psychotherapy is mandatory for this position. This educational background provides the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for effective psychological care and intervention in a humanitarian context.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in psycho-traumatology is required. Candidates should have experience working in the humanitarian sector, which is essential for understanding the unique challenges and dynamics of providing psychological support in crisis situations.
Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with local partners. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly English or local languages spoken in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, would be considered an asset and beneficial for effective communication in the field.
Additional Notes:
The position is subject to budget validation. Vaccination against Mpox is recommended for employees traveling to the country. The contract is a fixed-term contract under French law for 6 months. The gross monthly salary ranges from 2130 euros to 2406 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th month. Non-French citizens will receive a retirement insurance reimbursement of 16% of the gross monthly salary. There is a 6% salary increase every 12 months of continuous contract. Monthly per diem and living expenses amount to 1105 USD net, paid on the ground, along with a monthly context allowance of 450 euros. An annual child allowance of 1500 euros per child present in the home country is available, with a maximum of 6000 euros per year. Transportation and accommodation are covered, including collective housing. Medical coverage includes 100% reimbursement of health contributions and repatriation insurance, as well as medical expenses for up to one month after the end of the contract. Salary maintenance provisions are in place for illness, maternity, and paternity. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 20 rest and recuperation days per year, with travel expenses covered to the chosen break area and a flat rate of 215 euros per RnR. Professional development support and unlimited access to the Talentsoft e-learning platform are provided.
