Job Overview:
The position of Directeur.trice Pays Volant.e is crucial for filling gaps in director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">country director roles within the organization. The individual in this role will be deployed primarily to address the needs of various missions through the different desks of Solidarités International. Upon deployment, the Directeur.trice Pays Volant.e will work under the responsibility of the relevant Regional Director. This role requires a strong understanding of the geopolitical and humanitarian context to propose and implement mission strategies effectively. The individual will ensure that projects progress in accordance with SI's charter and internal procedures, mobilize necessary resources, and supervise their management. Additionally, the Directeur.trice Pays Volant.e will coordinate local teams and ensure their safety during missions while maintaining direct communication with SI's headquarters.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Directeur.trice Pays Volant.e will have several key responsibilities, including: acting as the official representative of Solidarités International in the assigned country, ensuring the smooth operation of missions, proposing mission strategies based on the geopolitical and humanitarian context, implementing approved strategies, ensuring project compliance with SI's charter and internal procedures, mobilizing and managing material and financial resources necessary for program execution, coordinating local teams, ensuring their safety during missions, and maintaining direct liaison with SI headquarters. The role also involves adapting to the specific terms of reference for each deployment and addressing the unique challenges presented by different operational contexts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree, preferably a master's in political science, international relations, or humanitarian aid. Additionally, they should have over five years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with three to four years in a similar position. Technical skills required include confirmed experience in managing humanitarian operations in high-security volatility contexts, a good understanding of SI's intervention sectors and humanitarian principles, and experience in strengthening local capacities and understanding partnership issues. Transversal skills such as excellent management capabilities, strategic vision, contextual analysis, and strong representation skills are also essential.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree, with a preference for candidates holding a master's degree in fields related to political science, international relations, or humanitarian aid. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and the geopolitical landscape in which SI operates.

Experience:
The position requires a significant level of experience, specifically over five years in the humanitarian sector, with at least three to four years in a comparable role. This experience should include managing operations in challenging environments and understanding the dynamics of working with local authorities and stakeholders.

Languages:
Fluency in English and French is mandatory for this position, as these are the primary languages used in SI's operations. Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate in diverse contexts and with various stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The contract for this position is a fixed-term contract (CDD) for six months, calculated based on the expatriate salary scale. The gross salary starts at 3,400 euros per month, with adjustments based on experience in NGOs. Additional benefits include per diem and accommodation coverage during deployments, recovery of one day for each weekend spent in the field, and 25 days of paid leave. There are no RTT (reduction of working time) days provided. Health insurance, life insurance, and repatriation coverage are fully covered by SI.
