The National Consultant for Project Coordination and Documentation will play a crucial role in supporting the UNDP's initiatives in Bangladesh. The consultant will be responsible for developing and maintaining project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant materials. Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
Educational Background:
Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as project management, international development, public administration, or a related discipline. A master's degree is preferred and may be considered an asset for this position. Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) would also be advantageous.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in project coordination, management, or related fields. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of development projects, is highly desirable. Familiarity with the socio-economic and political landscape of Bangladesh will be considered an asset.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Bengali is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance project effectiveness. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an advantage.
Additional Notes:
This position is offered as an individual contractor role, with a contract duration of 65 days over a period of five months. The consultant will be expected to work full-time during this period, with flexibility in terms of working hours. The position is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and may require occasional travel within the country. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and benefits may include access to UNDP resources and networking opportunities.

- Facilitating communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Organizing and participating in project meetings, workshops, and training sessions, and documenting outcomes and action points.
- Monitoring project progress and performance, identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
- Preparing regular progress reports and updates for UNDP management and stakeholders.
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and funding applications.
- Conducting research and analysis to support project activities and decision-making.
- Ensuring compliance with UNDP policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
