Job Overview:
The Programme Management Assistant position is situated within the Rule of Law Unit (ROLU) of the EOSG, reporting directly to the Chief of Unit. The role encompasses a wide range of administrative, logistical, and secretarial support functions aimed at facilitating the work of the Chief and the Unit's staff. The assistant will be responsible for preparing draft memoranda, notes, and letters for senior officials, managing stakeholder information, and ensuring the availability of background materials for meetings. The position requires a proactive approach to managing information flow, coordinating meetings, and providing personal assistance to the Chief, including calendar management and travel arrangements. The Programme Management Assistant will also play a key role in community management and digital communication efforts, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Unit's operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Management Assistant will undertake various responsibilities, including: providing administrative and logistical support to the Chief and staff of the Unit; preparing draft memoranda, notes, and letters; assisting in documentation for reports and correspondence; responding to complex information requests; ensuring availability of background materials for meetings; managing stakeholder information; liaising with senior officials regarding ongoing programmes and administrative matters; coordinating technical arrangements for meetings, including remote and hybrid formats; processing incoming and outgoing correspondence; overseeing information flow within the Unit; managing task assignments; maintaining the Chief's calendar; organizing travel arrangements; assisting in community management; and supporting digital communication and event planning efforts. The assistant will also perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of seven years of experience in administrative services, finance, accounting, audit, human resources, or a related area is required. Experience providing assistance to senior officials is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. Experience in planning and organizing special events is also desirable. The role demands a strong understanding of United Nations administrative, financial, and human resource rules and regulations, as well as the ability to perform a broad range of administrative functions efficiently and effectively.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent. While specific job-related qualifications are not detailed, candidates are expected to have a solid foundation in administrative practices and procedures, particularly within the context of international organizations such as the United Nations.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in administrative services or related fields. Languages:
