Job Overview:
The Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Advisor will play a vital role within the Analysis Department of MSF’s Access team, reporting directly to the Head of Analysis. This position involves working in a multidisciplinary team of experts addressing medical, pharmaceutical, legal, and policy issues related to access to health products and technologies. The SRH Advisor will be responsible for leading research and analysis on SRH product pipelines and access challenges, coordinating advocacy strategies, and collaborating closely with regional hubs and technical experts to enhance the availability and accessibility of priority SRH products and technologies. The role is essential in addressing barriers that hinder effective care delivery in the field, particularly for vulnerable populations such as women and adolescents in crisis-affected areas. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate flexibility in their work as the job description may evolve according to the finalized MSF Access Strategic Plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The SRH Advisor will lead research and analysis on access issues concerning priority SRH products and technologies. This includes conducting analyses on technical, policy, and structural barriers affecting the availability, affordability, appropriateness, and quality of these products. The advisor will collaborate with pharmacists, legal and policy advisors, and other experts to monitor market dynamics, pricing trends, supply chain vulnerabilities, patent landscapes, regulatory pathways, and R&D pipelines. The role also involves producing high-quality internal reports, policy briefs, and strategic notes to support MSF Access initiatives. Additionally, the advisor will contribute to horizon scanning for emerging SRH technology innovations and evaluate their operational relevance for MSF programs. The advisor will support the development and implementation of advocacy strategies, prepare presentations for meetings, and engage with stakeholders to address access issues affecting SRH products.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in public health, medicine, or a related field, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health. They should have demonstrated expertise in access issues related to healthcare products and technologies, as well as experience in research and analysis. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for preparing reports and presentations. The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and engage with various stakeholders is crucial. Candidates should also be adaptable and willing to respond to evolving organizational needs and priorities.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required, typically including a degree in public health, medicine, or a related field. Advanced degrees or specialized training in sexual and reproductive health, health policy, or humanitarian assistance are highly desirable. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the healthcare landscape, particularly in low-resource settings, and be familiar with the challenges and barriers to accessing SRH products and technologies.

Experience:
The position requires significant experience in public health, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health and access issues. Candidates should have a proven track record of conducting research and analysis in relevant fields, as well as experience in advocacy and policy development. Previous work in humanitarian settings or with international organizations is an advantage, as is familiarity with the MSF operational context and its approach to healthcare delivery.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in French is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to MSF's operational contexts would be considered an asset, as it would enhance communication with diverse stakeholders and communities.
