Job Overview:
The EF-IC-Tourism Marketing Expert position is designed to enhance the tourism marketing strategies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The expert will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns that promote the country's tourism potential. This role requires a deep understanding of the tourism sector, including market trends, consumer behavior, and digital marketing strategies. The expert will work closely with local stakeholders, including government agencies, tourism boards, and private sector partners, to create a cohesive marketing strategy that aligns with national tourism objectives. The assignment duration is from August to November 2026, during which the expert will be expected to deliver measurable results and contribute to the overall growth of the tourism industry in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the EF-IC-Tourism Marketing Expert include but are not limited to:
  • Conducting comprehensive market research to identify target audiences and tourism trends.
  • Developing a strategic marketing plan that outlines objectives, target markets, and key performance indicators.
  • Creating engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, websites, and print materials.
  • Collaborating with local tourism stakeholders to ensure alignment of marketing efforts.
  • Monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and making necessary adjustments.
  • Providing training and support to local tourism operators on best marketing practices.
  • Reporting on progress and outcomes to UNDP and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that all marketing activities comply with UNDP guidelines and standards.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the EF-IC-Tourism Marketing Expert position should possess the following qualifications:
  • Proven experience in tourism marketing or a related field, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and campaign performance.
