Job Overview:
As a Project Coordinator based in Cotabato City, you will play a crucial role in supporting the FCDO-funded Climate Resilient Cities – NURTURE Phase 2 project. This initiative aims to enhance urban resilience through the integration and adaptation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS). Your responsibilities will include working closely with local stakeholders to build their capacity to effectively incorporate NbS into urban planning and development processes. You will also oversee the implementation of pilot NbS projects, ensuring they serve as practical models for replication and scaling in urban resilience planning. Your service-oriented approach will be vital in monitoring and reporting on project activities, ensuring that best practices are consistently applied to maximize the impact of the project on vulnerable populations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will include coordinating and implementing all assigned activities related to the CRC-NURTURE project as outlined in the detailed implementation plan. You will monitor project progress, identify challenges, and report any gaps to inform necessary adjustments to plans and schedules. Additionally, you will assist local government units (LGUs) and project consultants in reflecting on project experiences and support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) efforts by coordinating evaluation activities and assisting partners in data collection and analysis. You will also collaborate with LGUs and consultants to prepare reports according to the established schedule, collect information on capacity needs, and monitor capacity-building activities to ensure effective impact. Completing project documentation and identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices will also be part of your responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, a Bachelor’s degree is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in project support. Experience in ecosystems, Nature-Based Solutions, urban planning, or public administration, particularly within an LGU or NGO context, is highly desirable. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of some educational requirements. Strong relationship management skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, results-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of project coordination and the specific challenges associated with urban resilience and Nature-based Solutions.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in project support. Candidates with experience in ecosystems, urban planning, or public administration, particularly in collaboration with local government units or NGOs, will be preferred. Experience in monitoring projects and collecting relevant data is also advantageous.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, along with Tagalog. Knowledge of the local language of the project site is considered a plus, as it will facilitate better communication with local stakeholders and enhance project implementation.

Additional Notes:
This position may require travel up to 20%. The role does not have supervisory responsibilities but involves significant collaboration with project teams and local stakeholders.
