Job Overview:
The position of IC Financial Reporting and Administrative Support is crucial for ensuring the financial integrity and administrative efficiency of UNDP operations in Pakistan. The individual contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial reporting and administrative support services, which include preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with UNDP financial policies and procedures. The contractor will work closely with various departments to facilitate smooth financial operations and will be expected to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the UNDP's mission in Pakistan. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and statements in accordance with UNDP policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure compliance with financial regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support for financial transactions, including processing invoices and payments.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for audits and evaluations.
  • Provide training and support to staff on financial management and reporting processes.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of UNDP financial policies and procedures is an asset.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional certification in accounting or finance (such as CPA or ACCA) is preferred and may enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and administrative support is required. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is an advantage. Familiarity with UNDP operations and financial systems will be considered a strong asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Urdu or other local languages is an advantage and may enhance communication with local stakeholders.

The contract duration for this position is 115 working days spread over 11 months, commencing from the date of signing the contract. This is a remote position, allowing for flexibility in work location. The contractor will be expected to submit proposals directly through the UNDP supplier portal, and any inquiries regarding the tender must be submitted in writing via the portal's messaging functionality.
