Job Overview:
The Investment Officer position is situated within the Private Sector Operations Department, specifically in the Infrastructure Finance Division 1 (PSIF1). The role is based at the Resident Mission Office in Islamabad, Pakistan, and involves reporting to the Deputy Country Director and designated PSIF1 International Staff. The Investment Officer will play a pivotal role in providing technical support and coordination for ADB's private sector investments and technical assistance in Pakistan and other Central and West Asian countries. The officer will engage with key private sector players, sponsors, and investors, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of investment trends, sector developments, and market conditions. The position requires independent project processing, including due diligence, risk analysis, and the structuring of various forms of financial assistance. The officer will also contribute to the development of policies and strategies for ADB's private sector goals, ensuring alignment with stakeholder interests and the creation of a robust pipeline of infrastructure projects.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting, with advanced training such as CA or CFA charter holder being preferred. A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in project finance or corporate finance is required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, the ability to conduct research and analysis on complex tasks, and proficiency in data organization and analysis. Excellent report-writing and communication skills in English are essential, along with the ability to guide junior staff and collaborate effectively within teams.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting. Advanced qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are preferred, indicating a strong foundation in financial principles and practices that are critical for the role of Investment Officer.
Experience:
