Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Banking and Finance Lawyer include: drafting and negotiating legal documentation in English for lending operations, such as loan agreements and guarantees; providing legal advice on structured finance transactions, including asset-backed and synthetic securitizations; advising throughout the lending process from transaction structuring to post-financial close matters; liaising with external counsels and supervising their work; conducting legal research and studies on relevant legal matters; and building and maintaining relationships with clients and external legal advisers. The role may also involve limited travel for negotiations and signatures of legal documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in law, equivalent to at least a bachelor's degree, and a professional legal qualification in any jurisdiction where the Central Europe team operates, preferably in Polish law. Admission to a bar association is required. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is necessary, ideally gained from a law firm specializing in lending transactions. Significant experience in drafting and negotiating finance documents, particularly of LMA type, is essential. Experience in structured finance, project finance, or PPP transactions is considered advantageous. Candidates should have excellent written and spoken English skills, with the ability to conduct high-profile negotiations and draft finance documents independently. A good command of French is beneficial, and the ability to draft and negotiate in Polish is a distinct advantage.
