Job Overview:

The role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and the ability to interpret regulations and procedures effectively. The engineer will be responsible for identifying discrepancies or issues in the field promptly, ensuring that projects adhere to established standards and timelines. This position places a strong emphasis on vertical construction initiatives and projects that involve international financing, highlighting the need for expertise in managing complex engineering tasks within a global context. The engineer will work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the projects are executed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization’s mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and model engineering solutions for construction projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
  • Conduct site assessments to identify potential issues and discrepancies, providing timely solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor construction progress and quality, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project execution.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on engineering aspects.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and innovative solutions in engineering processes.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in civil engineering, particularly in vertical construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design software and modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with local and international construction regulations and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or additional certifications in specialized areas of civil engineering will be considered an asset.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a focus on construction projects. Experience working with international financing and multi-disciplinary teams is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages will be considered a plus.
